LLP Erasmus at the FJPS UW

The Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, University of Warsaw is fully committed to the cooperation with partner universities within the framework of the European Programme – LLP Erasmus (Lifelong Learning Programme, a programme of learning throughout the life). This programme involves the exchange of students and lecturers. Students of Warsaw University going abroad to partner colleges attend courses which are then recognised at their Faculty upon their return. The duration of the exchange is one or two terms. The right to apply for the exchange is granted to all students of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, except for postgraduate students.

Currently, individual units of the Faculty participate in the exchange programmes with over 150 universities of the EU Member States, Switzerland, Norway and Turkey. Every year, the possibility of studying abroad is used by approximately 300 students of the Faculty, which places us in first place not only within the University of Warsaw but also – we are convinced – across Poland. Simultaneously, more than 100 foreign students undertake studies at our Faculty. Special lectures delivered in foreign languages – primarily in English – by the FJPS employees are organised especially for them.

In particular, it is worth noting that not only the number of exchange students is exceptionally high but also countries and universities where the FJPS students can pursue their educational career is exceptionally diversified. In addition to universities in Western Europe (the Complutense University of Madrid, Paris Institute of Political Studies – Sciences Po, City University London, Free Universities of Brussels and Berlin), individual units of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science successfully cooperate with universities in Scandinavia (Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Tampere, Riga), Central Europe (Prague, Budapest), the Balkans (Bucharest, Sofia) and in Southern Europe (Bologna, Ljubljana, Athens, Istanbul, Malta). Some partner universities offer purely political science oriented programmes. Others specialise in legal, sociological, economic or philosophical aspects of politics. In the near future, the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science wishes to expand the student exchange programme on countries from outside the European Union through other scholarship programmes.

We warmly invite you to study at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science! Undertaking education at our Faculty, you have a unique opportunity to fulfil your dreams of completing a significant part of your studies abroad, extending your knowledge and understanding different cultures of which Europe is comprised!

If you are interested, please contact the LLP Erasmus coordinators in respective units of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science.
