About the Chair of European Studies

The Chair of European Studies is the youngest, independent and fully-fledged academic unit of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science. The academic staff of the Chair combines all the best qualities – it is a melting pot of youth, experience and professionalism. The lecturers of the Chair of European Studies are acknowledged scientists and academic teachers, experts in the field of European studies on the national and international levels, employees of law firms as well as public and local administration institutions.

The Chair of European Studies develops dynamically and steadily refines its educational offer. It accepts students into all types and forms of studies within the field of European studies and into post-graduate studies.

Studying in the Chair of European Studies guarantees gaining knowledge adapted to the requirements of the job market. It enables getting acquainted with the beginnings of the European integration, the institutional and legal basis of the European Union as well as traditions and culture of the European nations. Most of all it guarantees gaining practical skills valued by employers. Hence, students get to know for instance how to set up a company in other European countries or how to apply for subsidies from the European programmes.
